I am back in the hospital, sigh. I've been in for a week (managed to hold out until after my birthday), but a combination of being totally fed up and having crap internet access meant I didn't post. More graft v. host disease. But...the low point didn't feel as low as the previous time, and it's getting better now. So maybe, maybe, this will be the last time. Or not.
Meanwhile, I've read The Dervish House by Ian MacDonald (excellent) and Another Country by James Baldwin (very good, but not quite as amazing as I was expecting based on Giovanni's Room), and am now reading The Palace of Illusions by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni (really good so far).
